    Carputer Testing + Software Installation

    Gday folks,

My apologies if there is another thread like this. These forums are massive, so its difficult to find exactly what your looking for sometimes!

I am at the beginning of my carputer project. Will be installing into a 2005 350Z. Its something i've wanted to do for a while, so i cant wait to get into it. I just about have all the hardware and software, but wanted to ask about testing and installation prior to putting it all into the car.

What is the best way to approach this? Im guessing you need to have some way to simulate the on/off ignition. What sort of stuff would i need in order to get this going. I have alot of PSUs at home if they will be useful, but just looking for more direction.

    Thanks for your time.

All taken care of. 1 minute after i posted this, i found the other post about how to power up the pc outside of the car.....

Was able to buy a 12V Power Supply, and its working like a charm. Looking forward to getting some installation done now!
