Thats for other aux devices for ex. other usb mp3 players or flashcards

- I wonder will i be able to watch dvd movies with that screen?
- Does 6cd or dvdrom supports mp3s?
- and can navigate in Turkey? (i live in Turkey) (Nav dvd is not for Turkey, any solution for this?)
- I want to have a carpc (carputer), what i have to do?

I do not know about electrics, electronics, i am totally a newbie...
Could you please help me friends?

Can you use the screen? Yes, but most likely no. You have to severely hack it, and the quality will be subpar.

Can you get navi disks for turkey? If the unit isnt sold in turkey or the EU, then no. Otherwise probably yes. Expect to pay $100USD to $300USD for that disk.

What to do for a CarPC? Look around on these forums. But what you have is useless for a CarPC installation.

I would say be prepared for crazy things to come up. If you don't know about electronics i suggest u start looking around this forum to get a basic handle so you know where to start. When i started i knew how to build a computer and i know about electronics but there were still a ton that i didnt know.

i guess that crazy things will cover me :) i do not know what will i do. i know about building up computers but i think thats not enough to set up a carputer :)

the things i bought are not for carputer i know that, i got them only for watching dvds playing mp3s, thats all... But now i know there is something named carputer and i can do what i want with it... So i want to have a carputer system on my car (by your helps friends)

USB+SDCard Reader+Aux input device arrived, others are still on the way...

1- Now i would like you to help me, what will i need to have a carputer?

2- i will use that unit. 2k1Toaster said that i have to hack that unit... How?

I've never even wanted to try hacking a screen to work with vga and some how make it touch screen too. Anything electronic can be redesigned but i can't imagine how you would be able to hack that so i can't give you any help on that.

What you need for a carputer is all up to what you want to be able to do. The ideas of a computer still hold. You still need power(obviously in a different way), HDD, Motherboard, Processor, RAM, and a Monitor of some sort. Those are the basic things you need but things do get more complicated. Exactly how much power do you need? Exactly how much current draw are u going to need? How many USB devices, How fast do you want to boot? What kind of boot do you want to do? Do you want XM or Sirus? Do you want a CD drive? Are you going to use a USB Hub, if so powered or unpowered?

There are just so many questions that come into play and thats just things i've run into. CD drive and motherboard have been the most annoying.

1ST you need to decide what do you want the carputer to do or uses. like internet, navigation, video, apps ect. If you want to run multiple programs I would use a duo core processor and 1 gb or 2gb of ddr-2 memory. I use intel micro atx motherboards.

Can i use a laptop? it smells easy to connect my ready system laptop to car screen rather than building up a computer...

yea it is easy to connect it. But you have to have power it and have it shutdown with the car. It has been done numerious times on this forum but i thought it would just be more difficult and less clean althoug AwWuff did an amazingly clean job
