Usb soundcard to amp and sub amp?

I've searched and I've found pci cards to amp/sub amp, but can't find anything on my topic. I'm buying a sound blaster live 24 bit usb card. My question is what do I need to hook it up to my existing factory amp and also my sub amp? My factory amp came with my 2003 tiburon by the way, it's got the premium sound sytem. And my sub amp is a 600 watt kenwood. Thanks!

On the installs I have done with factory amps Ill get the pinout for the low level inputs that hook up to the stock deck and wire from the output of the soundcard right those leads usually right behind the oem stereo, of course removing/replacing the stock stereo... Dont know if that enough to understand?

Most amps accept RCA inputs. What you would need in that case is a cable with a 3.5mm stereo plug on one end that goes to dual RCA plugs on the other end. That's the easiest way to do it. For the factory amp it's likely the same concept, just find out what the input connectors are and get a cable that will connect to them.

Some amps however need more input power than a sound card can put out, in this case you might look into a preamp. But you likely don't need it.

Oh yeah that's true, you might have to cut the wires and tie into it like that.

Ok, I must be an idiot, cuz now I'm even more confused now. I get the general idea , but on the back of the card there are 4 rca inputs. That means there are 2 sets of outputs right? One set for the speakers and one for the sub?

You'll have to consult the documentation that came with the card to find out specifically what those connections are for. One could even be for line in, or a microphone. But either way, each RCA plug would be one channel, and since you have four, there are two sets of connections there. One is definitely some sort of output, the other one would be either output or input. You could test it, just don't test it with equipment that hold much value

/\/\ LoL... I Am running the same exact sound card on my setup! There not inputs on the back of the card there OUTPUTS 1 is for front speakers, 1 is for rear, 1 is for SUB/CENTER, Then on the front theres mic and headphones... So your going to take the front and rear outputs and run those leads to the oem amp wiring, then take the SUB out and run that right to your sub amp and your in business
