    Power Supply Convertor

Has anyone used one of these?
    LINK

If so, what have been the outcomes?
What are the pros and cons?

    Thanks!

Looks like a Pico-PSU knockoff. I see no mention of intelligent startup-shutdown controller, which is something you want for a car PC. If that's the size you're looking for, you'd be better off with something like the M3-ATX. http://www.mini-box.com/M3-ATX-DC-DC...8&category=981

An Opus 120w would probably be better.

If you want to go the PicoPSU route without startup-shutdown controller, then get the real thing, at least then you get full support and warranty: http://www.mini-box.com/s.nl/it.A/id...8&category=981

    Pros:
    - It's small.

    Cons:
    - It requires regulated 12v input, which your vehicle does not supply.
    - The power output is pretty meager at 120w max across all 3 rails.
    - No 4-pin P4 12v power cable, not that it is capable of powering anything that would require one.
    - No startup/shutdown controller.

I suggest reading the FAQs: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/advfaq.php
There are several write-ups about choosing an appropriate power supply for your project.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

    Ok thanks.
After I looked at Kross response, I was thinking about getting the M4-ATX, it seems to be more of what i am looking for.

    Thanks for the help.
