I know its been covered, whining alternator plz read

I know its all been covered about grounding issues and i know thats what i have but hear me out...

I bought this whole kit off someone on clubrsx.com i forget what kind of computer it is all i know is its slow and old... but he used a converter to plug it into 110v i believe but whatever i think this is where my noise is coming from...

i ran the ground for the converter to the front and spliced with the "gnd" for the sound processor and the ground for the xenarc 700tsv screen, all that is connected to the relay on NO contact and then the other side of the NO contact is gnd to chassis (im using the grounds instead of the +12v, could this be the reason?)
Then, i have the remote going to +12v to turn on the relay.. Also the guy who did all the wiring on the harness and screen hacked it pretty bad i dont know if your supposed to but, he added a wire to the shield and wrapped it around the power plug

is there a reason why he did this?

EDIT: http://www.saintsong.com.tw/english/gx1.htm this is the computer it came with the GX1
also, is there a way to get usb 2.0 on the computer, i tried a hub but my portable hard drive wont work on it plz help theres no more memory on computer, too much music

if there is anything you cannot understand plz ask questions..

please use search ... i have answered this twice already in the past 2 days.
anyway... my solution with a power inverter is: you have a 3 wire outlet, before you insert the power cord into the inverter, grab a single electric wire and strip one side of it, insert it into the ground output of the inverter then insert the power cord, which will also hold the stripped wire in the socket.
strip the other end of the wire and ground it to chassis...

what you are doing here is shorting 120VAC GRD with 12VDC GRD. i had absolutly no problem with this setup on my 07 tundra, and technically no car should have problems with it, however every vehicle is different, so for precaution remove the fuses that arent nessesary to run the car from the fuse panel inside the cabin, then replace them one by one and watch to see that all the devices are operating, if a fuse blows then disconnect this setup and try a different approach... thats the only approach that worked for me flawlesly.

    good luck

Holy crap, you're asking if your ground wire should go to a +12 volt source? And you've hooked your remote wire to the power wire? Please go pay someone to install this before you die a fiery death.
And the answer has been covered many times.

Inverters make noise. Take the inverter out of the picture, and I guarantee the noise will disappear.

Get a real DC-DC psu in there.
