Plug the USB DVD and hub into the inverter. Problem solved.
I presume that when you say "some what able to see the video output of the PC" that means you know that text will be blurry and difficult to read.
So I want to put a carputer in my 00 A4. Right now I have a Pioneer P3100DVD. I plan on keeping this and running my audio out from PC to the stereo. I was also thinking about getting a VGA to composite converter to some what be able to see the video output from the PC.
Onto the carputer part. I got a good deal ($130) on a HP Pavilion Slimline S3600f I plan on using. For a monitor I plan on getting a 10.4 touchscreen or something a little larger and wide screen and foregoing the touchscreen.
For power I plan on using an inverter because I'm not to familiar with computer building and don't want to fool with DC-DC. I'm going to hardwire it to the battery to insure nothing gets fried
My question is about running a USB DVD drive and USB hub to the dash. I don't don't how to add power to them so they have enough power. Can I just buy a cable that simply plugs in to the HUB/Drive and then to the PC.
This should be all I need to get started right? (monitor, pc, inverter, input device)
