Yes, it is possible.... Also is there no way to just get the internet through a bluetooth signal(like on a 7 inch dvd/cd/navi/etc??)
Keep reading and you'll learn how.

I live in NYC so there probably are tons of places to do this but they are sharks out here.... so basically beside what I have asked above is could you recommend a basic setup htat i could have some guys install for me?

my rant on the matter:
biigmike23, if your only requirements for a car entertaiment system is navigation and bluetooth, look into a all-in-one unit, and not a computer-- overall, from the questions that you are asking, it seems that you are not too familiar with computers in general--that can be a problem when something goes wrong (and it will).
most get into this hobby after having a little experience with building home computers, and wanting to expand that functionality to their car.
the mp3 car store does offer prebuilt systems that only need to be installed in the vehicle, so that dcould also be a option.
you asked darque what is the 'best' unit? the cruel reality is that there is no single, perfect solution for anyone-- it is like asking a group of people what the best car is-- you will get a million answers, and all or none of them might be right for you... just look at the build section-- everyone here has started with a common idea--"to put a computer in their car", yet, if you look at the build logs, everyone has gone about installing their system completely differently.
for all in one units, i like pioneer, but there is just as much support for other brands around here-- the easiest way to find out is to go to a store and try the units out-- are the controls where you like/expect them, does it have everthing you need?
Is this really possible?? I mean, do any pre-manufactured DVD/NAVI head units offer any kind of bluetooth tethering... I didn't think so..Also is there no way to just get the internet through a bluetooth signal(like on a 7 inch dvd/cd/navi/etc??)
that's pretty cool. i suppose you could set up tethering on a laptop through BT and then use the laptop's Wi-Fi card to share the internet connection with the Pioneer Avic, and thus have almost all the features offered by a carPC but get around installing a permanent carPC
