    What PSU Should I use?

I have the motherboard from a HP Pavilion A815N (P/N-518739, Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.06GHz, 2 GB Ram. I would like to know what PSU I can use with the board.

m4 or dsatx.. or the high end opus unit. Those are pretty much your only option

Thank you for the information. Now the equipment that has been recommended, am I able to purchase this from the mp3car store? Also, is it better to run a DC - AC inverter or to just switch out the power supply?

noooooo! if you can afford a dc-dc solution, please do not even consider a dc-ac-dc solution(because that is really what a invertor setup is doing). simply using a dc-dc power supply will be eliminating many problems that invertors could cause(i say 'could', because not all invertor installs have problems, but there is no way to know until after you have purchased the inverter..).

Thank you for all of the helpful information! Which of the DC-DC psu's is better to use m4, dsatx or opus unit? I want to avoid any problems.

that is a matter of opinion-- i have a dsatx, so my answer is obviously biased that way, and other members with the other ones will be just as biased...

try to find a power supply calculator(like the one listed in the adv. faq at the topof the page...), and find which power supply will best fit your needs.

Ok here is what I plan on running: Asus PTGD1-LA (from HP Pavilion A815N) with an M4-ATX 250W Intelligent DC-DC PSU. Will that psu work for me?
