1998 Cadillac Seville STS - almost stock
windows users will swear by xp, or win7(maybe vista, but havn't seen to much of it here), and tripzero says that linux is the best.
for Fe's, riderunner users love it, and don't like most other fe's, and centrafuse users love it, and don't like other fe's...
it is mostly personal preferance to what works best for you and your hardware(i think i rmember something about ride runner supporting a radio feature that the others don't, but can't be sure if that even applies here)
but here is the fun part--as far as i know, all of the fe's available have at least a free demo version(some, like riderunner, are completely free) so you can try out the software and find what you like, so load up a computer, and start throwing fe's on it to see what you like(usually, i like to first try everything, and then reload the computer with a 'final' setup with everything that i decided to keep).
the most important thing, is to have fun!! it can take a while to setup the system to your preferance, so just take your time and do it right-- it took me almost 3 months just to get everything loaded on the computer-before i even installed it in the car...
