First CarPC - 1998 Cadillac Seville STS

I just ordered the parts to build my first CarPC. Here is my parts list:

-Liliput 7" touchscreen monitor (received)
-VoomPC-2 kit (Intel D945GCLF2D mini-ITX motherboard, 2GB DDR2 memory, M2-ATX-HV, 140w output, 6v to 32v wide input Intelligent Automotive DC-DC Car PC Power Supply) (received)
-1TB Western Digital My Passport essential hard drive (disassembled for hard drive to go into VoomPC case) (replaced with Toshiba 500GB Sata-II laptop hard drive....ordered)
-GWC 16.4 ft USB2 Repeater Cable Model AR2500 (x2 to run from trunk to dash) (replaced with Vantec 16ft USB repeater extension.....ordered)
-CablesToGo 18459 4-Port USB2 hub with 18" blue LED indicator & plug cover (replace ash tray) (ordered)
-WACOM Bamboo Touch 4.9" x 3.4" Active Area USB Tablet (customized to fit arm rest for easy navigation) (removed from build)
-Logitech diNovo Black Bluetooth Wireless Mini Keyboard (ordered)
--More parts to come later as needed (no other parts needed right now)

This is my very first install. I have almost everything I need except for a way to get the audio from the pc into the speaker system. The car has the BOSE Premium audio system with 6 disc changer in the armrest. I am wondering if anyone might be able to help me with an adapter recommendation. I have not yet taken the stereo out to check for inputs on the back. Looking forward to any tips, tricks, and recommendations. I will also make sure to post photos of my build as it progresses. All parts are due to arrive March 31st.

Not exactly right. You can add your own custom Aux-in with just a few off the self components. If you're so inclined, you can grab a harness at your local junkyard and do it real nice.

Is it possible to get a premade adapter that connects to the back of the stereo in place of the cd changer? Any recommendation for an FM modulator as a backup that will allow me to continue to use the AM/FM channels as there are a few that my girlfriend likes.

Thanks for no help GizmoQ. I was inspired for my install by install that quantum did that you commented on. I've already searched for an FM modulator and connector to replace the cd changer input. If I knew exactly which one worked best or trusted or where to buy them, I wouldn't be here asking for expert advice or recommendation. I'll move along to search for other CarPC forums where the people might actually be helpful to new enthusiasts. I see this site has plenty of self-indulged individuals that only care about commenting and comparing rather than helping.

I believe the area is the same around the radio. As a matter of fact, I just put the complete 3piece Zebrano wood LCD bezel, climate control and info button panel up for sale on another forum. If you are interested, let me know.

thanks for the link quantum. it was actually that install that got me interested in putting one in mine. did yours have the BOSE premium sound system?
i found a way to get audio through the radio without having to remove it or cobble a passthrough together. i'm looking at the iSimple TranzIt. one thing i will have to check is whether or not i can leave it on without messing up all radio stations. as for the monitor mount, i'm thinking of just keeping it on the dash instead of trying to build it in.
as soon as i get it back from the shop, i'll take some photos and get posted before i start the install. i had to have some neon lights underneath removed and a batter short traced due to the lights being directly wired to the fuse block.
looking forward to doing the install and receiving feedback, tips, and tricks from those willing to share.

Well, parts have finally started arriving. So far I've received my VoomPC-2 and 7" monitor.

Parts in route: Logitech diNovo mini bluetooth keyboard, Toshiba 500GB laptop hard drive, 4-port usb hub, iSimple TranzIt.

Only one question if anyone would be willing to give some advice instead of flame me for this being my first install. What OS and frontend is best?
