Of course, Dual Core is what is in now. Although Intel is pushing the h3ll out of their Quad Cores, alot of the games dont utilize all 4 cores. So dual core is fine. So your going to be playing games in the car!?!?!?!?!

LMFAO... Are they really that loud and annoying? You actually have to leave and go some place else? OMG that god I'm a uber b!+ch because my friends know not to do that to me. First off, id probably break whats making them loud, and then if that doesn't work, I call my big dogs to eat them. (Those are my Puppies in my Avatar photo)

just wanted to add a little to the mayhem--just got my carputer reinstalled(finally). i am using a larger capacity optima yellowtop battery, and a zotac 9300board w/ wifi, and a pentium dual core processor(i want to say its a 5300 series). after doing software config for a while, it drained the battery down to 10 volts in about 2 hours...

so just something to keep in mind..

my old atom setup, i had run for 3-4 hours with almost no effect on battery life, so it is going to take some getting used to on my part.

I agree.... My install doesnt even last an hour, but its because my alternator cant keep up and im using a standard battery. I hope to upgrade to a HO alt and 2 battery setup. Dont think that you are going to be able run a monster setup with the car off.

You would need to many solor panels and that requires alot of batteries for what you want to do. Slim down your setup if you want to use it for long periods of time in the car.

did you realise you have a motherboard with a socket LGA 1156 and a processor with a Socket LGA 775, those are incompatible

If you covered every square inch of your car with solar panels...you would just have enough to power that setup (assuming you had full unobstructed sunlight constantly).
