it'll take some time til i get another opportunity to try to rerun the wires, i didn't realize that i had messed up somewhat, i knew before to keep the power away from the audio cables and always told people that; i guess that i just got caught up in the fact that i found a neat way to hide them all for the moment. i'll update when i move the cables and let you know

Man if I had a dollar for everytime I had done that! Sometimes aesthetics and practicality contradict one another. This is one of those things that will give you a sense of pride once you perfect it.

okay so now that it has taken me forever to update, here it is. I've moved the computer to the trunk of the car and the audio cables under the door trim of the passenger side while keeping the power cable under the center counsole. In doing this I have eliminated the whine of the alternator and the lines have disappeared from my screen. I would assume that the lines were coming in similar to the audio problems, so now the video cable still runs under the center but splits away from the power cable under the back seat. Thanks for the help leo

No problemo! I am always willing to assist. I had to learn everything on my own also. Do yourself a favor. MAke sure all your audio connections are snug and secure. When your finally satisfied with everything, take the time to draw a wiring diagram. Map out all the additonal wires and cables you have installed. This will come in handy when you are trying to troubleshoot.
