Suggestions please :)

Hi,

After much searching I'm struggling to find an image that could guide me.

I'm wanting to do an install in the new fiesta (2009/2010) model

Has anyone done this or seen it been done? I'm struggling to find a place to place the LCD, so I've thought about just having a Mimo 720S on my dash and at a later stage i'll hopefully manage to find a place.

I've read many mixed reviews about the mimo, some say the touchscreen is effective where as others say its simply just acts as a mouse curser?

Please advise.

I would check in a Ford or Ford Fiesta forum somewhere and see if anyone else has done the same thing. From looking at the pictures it looks like there is an area directly above the radio where an LCD is sitting. But I have no idea all models are that way and what the screen in the pictures actually does.

As for the mimo touchscreen, you should just look around in the reviews section or in the LCD subforum for reviews on it.

i might have missed a couple of reviews, but as far as i know, that is exactly what a touch screen should do(take the place of a mouse for most functions).

the biggest issue with a usb touch screen is that it won't disaply anything until after the os boots--- so if any errors pop up before the os loads, you will never know what they are(like a hard drive with a bad SMART status, or if you need to reset the bios time from a bad cmos battery..).
