    Depends who's counter you use

I still think you should do it yourself. You'll save money, have a better working knowledge of it, and will be confident to work on it should something go wrong.

I went to 3 local shops, two of them never did a carputer, but they were very excited to try it. So yeah, if you have the money, they will do it. Jusk ask a lot about post install support. Say one year from now your HD goes bad, how easy would it be for you to replace it (or how much it would cost), install everything, and deal with licenses for the installed software and stuff (and configure it)?

Those are VERY good questions and suggestions if you're having a shop do the install!

It'll cost you about $500 in gas each way to drive to my place and I'll do it for you! For an extra fee.
