I will try to answer your questions. To complete remove the screen and turn it into a monitor is very difficult. You would need to buy a monitor inverter and then with some wiring it MIGHT work. To sell it, if it has horrible/old specs and it is in the condition you described it. Look at craigslist. Maximum you will get for it $20 but some people/stores will recycle it for free (laptops have mercury in them).

Thank you for your reply. I'm not going to try to make any money on it. It's pointless. What I would like to do is dismantle it and use it's parts as learning tools. I will try what you said with the screen. It will be great if it works, but if not, too bad. I'll send it to recycling. The hard drive I can remove and slide it into an external USB enclosure. I'll see what I can learn on small projects with the rest of it. The rest of it is probablu useless, but I'll try what I can.
    Thanks for your input.

Sweet! I didn't think of that. I could mold the touchpad into my center console. The keyboard is dead though.

I found this at an auction site for $1.00 plus shipping. Would it be easy to adapt to a desktop? Gateway 700487 Replacement KEYBOARD for M275 tablet PC

There's no link because it's in the Best Buy employee auction. Only employees and select business partners can bid. I'm bidding on a kick *** motherboard right now.

I guess. It's for employees only.I don't know if you have to be there for a certain period of time though. Get hired then find out.
