    Blue screen

Hello, I have car dvd head unit InnovateK 868TS everything works fine on the screen. Until I put in a dvd to play, all I get is a blue screen with sound. I have the wire hooked up to the breake. Anyone know what is wrong with my head unit. Thanks

If you're sure everything is hooked up correctly, first thing I would do would probably be contact the manufacturer.

If the headunit has a reset feature or a sequence of buttons to press in order to reset it, find out how to do it and reset it. This might fix it. Usually the manual will contain the reset procedure.

If that doesn't work, pull your radio fuse and then put it back in. That should cause it to lose memory and maybe it will work when you put the fuse back.

the brake wire should be hooked to ground if you want to watch dvd while the car is in drive also i found that those units are not very good and have a real wonky dvd drive in them. i found only original dvd/cd's or burnt ones on very slow recording speed (2x for example) hope this helps SNO

I tend to agree with Snowtwistr.

Have you tried an audio CD? Does it play at all? Do you see the controls on the screen? (play, pause, next track, etc.)

If no CD works, the CD drive might be on its way out. You could try using a cleaning CD/DVD in the hope that it's just dusty inside.

You used to play DVDs on it or this is the first time trying? I think you have the wire hooked up wrong.

Double check that the wire didn't come lose or short out.
