Blue wire usually is. My blue reverse wire has a "BACK SW" label attached to it but you are right, blue usually is antenna.

From other forums I have read nowadays they use the power antenna wire to power an extra amp. Most aftermarket units like mine have a wire for the amp but without that and since most people don't have power antennas anymore, the blue antenna wire has been known to power an extra amp. So I've read.

I'm assuming the blue wire is from your monitor... If so, I can't see any reason why you would attach it to the antenna. "BACK SW" most likely means "backup switch" (ie: figure out when to switch to the backup input). Maybe I'm missing something...

Hmmm... Just noted the pdf file. Blue/Black (ie: a wire with colored strips, blue & black) is the antenna control wire. The Blue wire is as I described. If you look at the picture, the blue wire is connected to the "reverse lamp".

careful , the power antenna wire will only have +12v when you are playing the radio, it will not work with any other funtions (at least that is how most radio s are setup)

I discovered going thru one of the many menus that I have the option to activate or not activate the brake AND reverse systems. So grounding out the brake line technically didn't matter cause both were set to NO anyway.
