Need help with iphone connecting to DEH-P7700MP

Ive been searching for about 2 days now and havent found anything cheap. I would like to hook up and play my iphone 3gs to my pioneer deh-p7700mp and the cheapest thing i found was an adapter thats about 100$ CB-IB10011 and would like something cheap...i went into my car and took off my lower dash and tried to take out the unit to see what i have exactly on the back to see what im working with so i know what i can get or working with.. Unfortunately i did all of it and got to the frame and a screw was striped so i couldnt get it out..what ive gotten out of research was to possibly use an ip-bus to aux cable? Or aux in cable?

    Please help.. Thanks!

Umm...it looks like that unit will play back bluetooth audio. Which means you can just connect to it wirelessly from your iPhone and play audio over it.

    For free.

Turn bluetooth to "on" on both the phone and the headunit. Then on the headunit goto pair, search/find and follow the directions... I'd recommend looking at the manual under "pairing a phone".

However the 7700 sucks when pairing to a iphone, I think the newer pioneers are better but the older ones require the phone to be in "discovery/visible" mode.

You can also just get this which will give you 2 rca's then get a rca to headphone jack plug thing and plug in your phone. But this is only for playback of sound not for making phone calls.

i dont think your model supports bluetooth.

can you confrim that this is your model?

is that the DEH-P7700MP does have BT.

Yesthats my model. I originally thought this then thought it was the p70bt because of google pics then it says on the faceplate p7700mp so thats the model..

And i dont have the manual and have been looking to for pairing or bluetooth with my phones bluetooth enable for a good half hour and cant find anything.

yes that is my model. i was confused earlier thinking the deh-p70bt was because of the google pics but then i saw the lettering on the HU itself deh-p7700mp so thats it.

and ive been looking for a while online and cant find anywhere any manual because i bought this car and the HU came with the car so it didnt come with a manual and i tried to look for a pairing or aux on the button thing on the actual HU thing itslef alls the options are are entertainment which dosent have audio which dosent have it and function which dosent have it.

if you don't see it in the setup menu, then i don't think it is a option.(though i never used a BT pioneer, and have been out of the headunit game for a couple years now that i have a car-computer[what this forum is all about] )

btw, i have used the cd-rb 10, cd-rb 20, a adapter similar to what saturated_fat recommended, and the cd-ib100II. all worked the same except the cd-rb 20 allowed me to connect multiple p-bus devices to the radio, and the cd-ib100II allowed me to control the ipod through the radio, though it was very slow..i bought mine at best buy for $20(the only reason i even got it)-- they do go on sale occasionally, or check ebay.
