Calu-M2C Power on question

Hey Guys,
Had this baby installed a meelion years ago, but then car went through some changes and now im finally installing it again.

I connected it as follows:
Red: constant power
white: negative / ground
Green: ignition switch (ie: gets 12v when i turn key to "1")

However, the computer isnt switching on upon turning my key or even switching on my car. Is the above wiring incorrect? I didnt change the bios settings or anything like that, so should all be the same and it used to work way back when ?

After further investigation, I see that it doesnt power on upon ignition when i have my CTF700 screen's usb port attached - but with it disconnected, it works - what gives?

have you tried connecting the screen to another pc?

Hmm, will have to organise a laptop to check it out :S will revert back once i know what happens...

So I got a laptop and the CTF700-SH does the exact same thing to my laptop, (though a bit different - power goes on, but the screen stays black and so doesnt go through post or anything). Works fine if I unplug the USB port of the CTF700 - but with it in, bam - no go!

What gives?!? TIA!

sounds like a bad touch overlay, or touch controller. you'll either need to replace both, or replace the screen..

How do I go about checking which of thw two it is and how do I replace the two?

i'm not really sure.. try checking the lcd section.

Just for future reference, for anyone who has this issue - for me, it was because of a fault USB extension cable connecting the touch panel.
