try to look at a carpc just like a aftermarket radio-- if there is a way to keep it with a aftermarket radio, then that same way should apply to a carpc install.

Crutchfield has a unit that will do it Metra's GMOS-04 GM Class II data bus interface. lets you keep ONSTAR system functions, the Bose amplified speaker system, audible safety warnings, and the chime that warns the door is open.

well, assuming your aftermarket setup allows you to keep the stock bose amp, that should be the perfect option. the stock stuff is always the first to go in my cars.

don't think I have the Bose system haven't seen a amp anywhere yet or anything that says I have a Bose system.

Here is the model I found ( PAC OS-2C FACTORY RADIO REPLACEMENT INTERFACE FOR GM VEHICLES )
And here is the model if I do have the Bose system ( PAC OS-2BOSE Radio Removal Interface )

it ties into the radio harness in the dash, so as long as you power all the speakers from that harness in the dash, this kit will work.

if you choose to re-run all the speaker wires(like i normally do), then it would disable the chimes, and i believe would also disable the audible portion of the onstar system(they would be able to hear you, but you would not be able to hear them).
