Dell Optiplex 755 Slim

So I'm not exactly sure where to post this but anyway here goes.

I want to hook this computer up in my car i already have a touchscreen in my car and everything is setup and working but the problem is that the computer power supply causes a buzz in the cars speakers. I have a power inverted plugged into the car then the computer and touchscreen plugged into the inverter. The computer us plugged into the cars stereo system through an aux port. If the computer is unplugged and plugged into a socket from the house, the sound goes away.

The computer has a power supply similar to a laptop, but the part that goes into the back of the copmputer is and 8 pin pci e plug, can the power supply be discarded so i don't have to go from ac to dc to ac?

Edit: I checked again today and the sound that the computer produces through the speakers in the car is there even when i unplug the audio cable. It's definitely coming from the power brick. It's the DA-2 model power brick and it seems the pins on the back are not the same as a pci e plug. I really want this to work D: I have already modified have my car for this computer.

Considering the forums are nothing but code which boils down to intricately organized 0s and 1s being processed on silicon chips and stored on magnetic platters....

Lose the inverter and get a DC-DC power supply that will work with your PC.
Check the mp3car.com store for different models. Check in the FAQs to see what will work for your setup.

or you will need to start shelling out money to locate a inverter that doesn't have the buzz. so far, there is not a list anywhere so it would be trial-n-error...

Is it a Modified Sine Wave Inverter or Pure Sine Wave Inverter? Most Pc's and Laptop's psu's dont like Modified Sine Wave Inverters. They create too much noise and i have had a psu blow with a Modified Sine Wave Inverter. Pure Sine Wave Inverters are a better choice if you dont already have one. As the guys^ say. dc-dc psu is the best option
