    CarPC Sound Configuration Problems

    Hello Everyone,

I have CarPC almost 2 years in my Citroen Xsara, the system is working great and i get the best sound ever.
But now i have a little problem with my new system, and i can't configure the sound.

    Old System:
    CPU: Atom 330 (on board)
    MB: Asus AT3N7A-I
    Mem: 2x2GB Patriot
    PSU: PW-200-M 200W
    Cam: 2xMicrosoft HD-5000 (front & rear)
    GPS: Holux GR-213-USB

This system is connected from the onboard sound card to Hertz Energy Amplifier and to Rockford Subwoofer Amplifier.

The sound application from Asus is very easy to use. I set the system for 5.1 Channels surround system and that is, when i play music the speakers playing and the sub PERFECT!

    New System:
    CPU: Intel Core i5 2400 3.1Ghz, s1155, 6MB, GPU Core
    MB: Gigabyte GA-H67N-USB3-B3
Mem: 4x4GB G.Skill NT Dual Channel
    Other things are the same.

I know i don't need 8GB in my CarPC but a buy them together.

I connected my new system the same way it was connected with the old one, and i can't configure my sound system in the Sound Application.
I set the system to work with 5.1 Channel and when i when i press on test button i hear my front, rear and sub speakers but when i press the play button
on my Foobar or Centrafuse i hear sound only from the front speakers and that's all.

I Don't know what is wrong... can someone please help me?

Check to ensure the the "full range" setting is not checked. I'm at my work computer, but I had this problem and it was because I had rear and front set to full range.

    Problem Solved!

After searching and searching i decided to re-install the sound card drivers.
And then like a magic the problem solved.

Thanks for trying to help besjr69.

I will drop my 2cents here. I also had to use realtek sound and 5.1. To me the speaker fill was terrible, and I switched to SRS Audio Sandbox software to drive my audio. 5.1 channel would work fine for when there was 5.1 audio, but the SRS does an amazing job of up-mixing 2ch and pushing it to all the speakers and is very flexible and tweak-able unlike the realtek software.
