    EBY701 and driver problem.

    Hello.
    I have a big driver problem.
    Or I think, it's a big problem.

    When using a very old XP driver the touchscreen works perfectly. (Win2000_XP_4.0.2.1929).
    Then when installing a newer driver for XP/Vista (Win2k_XP_Vista_1.3a_4.3.8.4207) I get this result after calibration:

    I press here
    -------->.

    ------>.
    The screen recognize it as a press here.

    Almost 1 cm down and 1 cm to the left.

    NO it's not a calibration error.
    I have tried with EVERY driver on the web, and the only one working for me is the one where only the XP driver is incl.

    I would like the screen to be on a 64 bit system, so can anyone help me with this problem?

    Is there a way to update the firmware inside the screen, so that the vista driver will work?
    Or is the only way, to buy a new screen?

    ok, so a lot of info missing. Im going to throw out some questions and steps to help narrow the issue, you may have done these but not listed.
    You want this monitor on a 64bit os right, but why?,
    Have you tried this monitor on win7 yet?
    Have you already hacked it out of its frame and installed it into a dash or is it still fresh out the box?
    On my custom frame I have the lcd kinda tight to the top left so when it gets cold sometimes screen gets pushed up there and my mouse pushes in wrong spot like yours but I just have to push on the top left a little to loosen it up.
    List what OS you have tried so far, if only xp I would recommend installing on a win7 machine your problems may just disappear.

    Does it matter why he wants to use his monitor on a 64 bit machine??

    Try the latest drivers here:

    XP is now version 5.11.0.9126

    good luck

    The reason to use 64bit is so you can get over 4gb ram and most carpcs try to have low ram so hibernates and resumes are faster
    64bit also still has a lot of compatibility issues.
    Wanted to know if there was a specific reason he would need 4+gb ram for a carpc project

    I am using the screen as an extra screen in my livingroom.

    I used to run it on a XP system and on this system the new drivers does not work.

    Now I have updated my system to an i3 64 bit with 8 Gb ram.
    But none of the drivers that I have tried works.
