I know this is not really a newbie question. But I really dont know where to put this. But I need some help with a fabricated screen mount for my 05 crown Victoria. I do not have the time nor the wish to lean how to to do this. The "double din" hole doesn't fit the bybyte frame I bought so I'm SOL at the moment.
So Im looking for someone who can make me a frame for my dash. Either reply here or PM, with a price. I'm in the Richmond VA area.

Check out my worklog, as I fabricated my 99 GMQ dash to fit a ByByte frame. It was very easy and didn't take more than a couple of hours. A bit of advice - go on eBay and buy a dash bezel so you don't cut up the original. Plus, you can keep driving the car while you (or whoever you find) works on it.

It's a piece of cake. Pull off the trim pieces, then just remove the 8 or so hex head screws. You'll have to disconnect the light switch as you pull the dash bezel out. Of course, remove the stock radio first...
If you haven't already done so, join crownvic.net and check out the BOK. Also, pick up the Ford workshop manual for your '05 CV.

Im on there, and have gotten several tips. Including that 05 had actual double din not 1.5 but oh well. took them like 8 months to approve my membership. And Ive got all kinds of literature on it. I just didn't recall removing the dash right off hand.
And stock radio's been out. Thanks though, wouldnt have thought about doin it ur way.
Sorry to hear it took so long for your membership to get approved. If you have any questions about your CV, let me know. I've taken pretty much everything apart when it comes to the radio stuff (door panels, rear deck, seats, etc), so I'll be happy to share my experiences.
I have both volumes of the workshop manual, plus the electrical volume - and they have saved my a$$ quite a few times.

His dash will look nearly identical to mine, with just a few minor cosmetic differences. The actual dash bezel is identical to mine. In the pic he attached, the entire black piece that has the dash cluster, radio, light switch, and vents, is a single piece and removes easily.
