    Another Newb

What's up everyone.... just another newb here trying to get a carpc up and running.

I'm not new to cars or even modding cars, and I'm not new to computers or modding those either... but I'm somewhat new to the carpc realm of things.

My stock radio in my IS300 just isn't cuttin' it anymore, a carpc has always been on my mind for years, but I never really wanted to spend the money or time into it.
I was originally going to build a whole new pc, but remembered I had barely used netbook that I could get some use out of... and as soon as that thing dies, or comes close to it, I'll go ahead and start piecing a new pc together.
So now that I have the main piece done, I started at looking at front ends, and I see Centrafuse was widely popular so I started with that one. I downloaded the trial and the interface seems good for me, so I will most likely stick with that unless I find something else while browsing the Front End subforum.

Last week I ordered a double din Mini Touch 700 monitor and finally had some time to mess with it this weekend. I initially had some issues with it, but the good people over at mo-co-so.com were very helpful on getting me up and running.
As of right now, everything is good, if I wanted to I could use some power inverters to get me up and running in my car, but I'm going to try and get a little more fine-tuning done on my setup before anything.

I do have a few more questions I'm hoping to find answers on here on the forums.

One thing someone might be able to help right away is the Centrafuse display. I don't know if it's because I'm using the trial version or not, but the interface does not take up the whole 7in monitor. It takes up about 3/4's of the screen, and below that, I can still see my desktop and the taskbar. Is there a way to change this so it will take up the whole screen?

what screen resolution are you using? most interfaces rely on the screen to be set to 800x600, so any higher, and it will tend to show portions of the desktop.

Sorry I meant to mention that earlier... I am set to 800x600. I right-clicked on the centrafuse icon and in the properties I was able to change it to 640x480, but then it made the interface to where I could only see 3/4's of the top-left hand sides.

well, i really just use rr, and have no idea past that, so you'll either need to wait and hope a cf user see's this, or you can try asking a mod to move this thread, or make a new one in the cf section..

Thanks, I already made a thread the CF subforum, just waiting for a mod to approve it since I'm still new.
