Amp Kits - Copper VS Other Stuff

I have been looking at a varuiety of Wire solutions. I have looks at bulk stuff, wire kits and partial kits or combining multiple kits to get what I need. I am curious...I know copper is the best but really have any of you seen a difference in power drops or surges with other types of metals when doing power drops?

What else would u use? U cant use solid core because its not flexible like the multi strand automotive amp kits .if your looking for wire the more strands the better

I am planning on using the strand type. I know that copper is said to be the best but a few of the wiring kits I have found is not 100% copper and often no copy at all. Has anyone used non copper? Have they noticed any loss in power?

i will only recommend 100% OFC cable. imo anything else is garbage and is not worth messing with.

there used to be a magazine-- simply "car audio and electronics" that had a really nice writeup on CCA, or copper-coated-aluminum wire compared to the pure copper stuff.. the website had been up for a while after the magazine got nixxed, but appears to have been taken down now.

anyways, here is a similar copy/paste-style writeup based on that same info-- of course the links and pics are dead, but the premise in the wording should be enough:

non copper wire might be fine for some, but for me, the 'cost premium' of pure copper is part of getting quality gear. "ya gotta pay to play"....
