Double DIN with Touchscreen and Android
I've never attempted anything in the way of a car PC before (and from what I've read using Android isn't going to be a true PC anyway for the true enthusiasts!) but I'm just hoping someone can guide me in the right direction if I show what I want to achieve.
The main goal I have is to have a Touchscreen Double Din unit linked to an Android device so that I can run the Torque app with a forward facing camera for track days. So, I have a few questions:
- I assume I will need one of the Lilliput monitors, but which one and do they come with a Double DIN caddy or do I have to get this separately?
- How do I connect an Android device to the monitor so that I will be able to use the touchscreen aspect of the screen? Can I get a HDMI Android device like the MK802 and use the HDMI port, or if not then what do I need to do?
- How would I connect a camera up so that Android can use it in the Torque app?
Sorry for what may seem like simple questions but I'm a little out of my depth here!
