I've been lurking for nearly two years, reading and absorbing as much information as I can. I've had in mind a build that has evolved from a fantasy into a may-be-started-in-two-weeks, but with one little hiccup. First, some information!
I am planning a Nexus 7 build into a 2001 BMW 740i with DSP. (For everyone that knows what a nightmare this system is, fear not! I share your groans!) I've got everything planned out to completely gut the DSP system from the car and rebuild to be absolutely factory in appearance and function. I'll go over all of that in my build thread, but suffice it to say that I've done my homework!
Here's my question. It's incredible how basic this question is, but, I do have a contingency plan in place no matter what the answer!
In regards to JoyCon and steering wheel controls. I already know that they can interface and control, just like keystrokes, the Nexus itself and I can reassign buttons at a whim. My question is in regards to the Cruise Control specifically. While using the Joycon, will I lose Cruise Control, or (as some diagrams lead me to believe) is JoyCon merely being spliced in and intercepting certain buttons?
