    Question: reguarding Those composite screens

Hi all, Noob here... First, I want to say that this site owns.

For you guys who use composite screens, are you just making your fonts bigger to make them readable? Before you start flaming me, I have been reading and using the function.

Hell, I've connected my PC (using my ATI All-in-wonder) to my 31" TV at home, and it's hard to read ANYTHING @ 640x480. heh.

Anyway, since last april, i've been working on a project to install my Shuttle into my altima, but just last night i realized that where i was going to mount my 15" screen, was a HUGE no-no for insurance/legal reasons. I'm going to create a custom box for my shuttle. My trunk is HUGE, so space isn't an issue.

So... i found this site and have begun exploring the 7-12" screen option. however, so many of these screens are composite. The VGA-Connectable ones are SO expensive, IMO.

thanks to all who take a moment to help me out.

I am also in the process of installing my first setup. I have a Pyramid 7" widescreen, which I'm sure has to be of much lower quality than a lot of the composite screens other peolple are using. I find that at 640x480 running Win98 that when I set the scheme to windows standard with extra large fonts it is quite legible. Still a bit fuzzy, but definately readable. BTW, Media Engine looks superb, and is very esy to read.

wylie-c , summed it up nicely. ME was made for composite screen people and it does look great one one. Don't spend the money on a composite screen if you don't feel the quality is right for you.

Composite will work if you use an app like ME. I've used a composite for a few years until I got a VGA screen
