    Has anyone had any problem putting their carputer next to a really loud sub?

    I'm thinking magnetic fields, big vibrations = not good for my carputer. I'm most worried about the magnetic field, hate to just mysteriously loose a chunk of data on some random cluster...

    yeah it can possibly happen but I doubt it. I think theres actually a thread floating around here on the exact topic.

    i had a image dynamics IDQD2V2 in a 3/4" mdf box sitting right on top of my 3/4" MDF car mp3 case. did like that for a year and no problems. hard drives are shielded pretty good anymore.

    I have about 2500 watts for my bass and no problems.
    Opus case. MB 899 core duo 2.0ghz
    Dual vga out, 400 gb hard drive, Centrefuse front end
    zapco 1000.4 for zapco 6.5 componets
    zapco 1100.1 for 2 13" W6.
