You need an amp, and you run the computer to that and use the software volume control.

the volume control is the same thing you use to adjust the volume in windows.

Mk3 of my carputer didn't have a head unit and I used the volume control of Windows to increase/decrease the music.

    Worked fine!!

    Hope this helps.

Okay, do you already have the amp connected to your system? Is it powering all your speakers? If not, you're going to need to pick up another amp. It looks like that amp will only run two speakers (or one, bridged). If you've got four speakers and a sub, you're going to need at least a three-channel amp as well as that one you've already got.

Normally, RCA's go from your head unit to the amp, then speaker wire to the speakers. Now, you want to run RCA's from your sound card in your computer out to the amp instead.

Regarding wires, what other wires to the HU are you talking about? The power and remote wires? You can just ignore them, cap them or tape them up to prevent shorting.

    Good luck, and have fun.
