i can answer the first question. There are some people selling a complete solution. carplayer.com comes to mind. The reason more people do not do it is cause they are hard to support and every car is different. Also most people in this forum want to do it themselves.

LIKE i SAID THEIR MARKETING SUCKS. The internet is only good if people know your product exists. People know car-puters are made but every-one thinks they are too expensive. So what about cars being different, dosen't matter to stereo and amp manufacturers. In its most basic form the car-puter is just a plug and play device plugged into the cars monitor and amp (or stereo) c'mon cars being different has no bearing to car-puter production. I know alot about sales and buisiness but there is no way for me and myself to keep up with the demand. As soon as I showed mine off no less than 10 people expressed interest in my project and if I can sell a complete unit with monitor for $1000 dollars and still make 60% profit than I'd be stupid not to sell it. But I am too busy making them for myself and friends.

But their product looks good 300 hundred dollars for just the motherboard and remote? No case? C'mon man internet buyers like us will never pay that.
If they ever finish the website, then I would like to see what they are offering. Until then they don't have a product.

is english your first language? I'm having quite a hard time following your sentences. But if you've got fabbing skills, you shouldn't have any problems encorporating it from the get-go...that would be cool!
