Starting A Project For Audi A6

hello everyone, im new to this so bare with me.
    so here's the plan...

    i purchased a
    -7" Lilliput touch screen
    -Mini p4 mini deck (http://idotpc.com/TheStore/Desktop/8...883&Cate.id=19)

problem::: what do i do? because of limit to space, i would just probably mount the screen somewhere in the dash. my audi has a stock bose concert sound system. can i connect the computer to my stock bose and use the stock speakers to listen to mp3, and watch dvds? what is an OPUS? how do i power the computer? the main use of the carputer would be MP3,DVD and GPS

    hope someone could help!

Hello fellow Audi owner. I own an Audi A4 avant, and have recently completed my carputer install. Here is what I did:

    Removed bose deck
    Installed amps, and new speakers.
Purchased an Opus 150watt atx power supply.
Installed via m1000 motherboard with sound card attached to Opus

The opus powers my carputer. The purpose of an Opus is to convert non-regulated 12V from the car, to useable regulated ATX (12v/5v). When I turn the key on in my car, the accessory lead awakes the opus which then presses the atx button on the m1000 motherboard. Then when I turn the key off, the Opus presses the ATX power button again, simulating someone pressing the button physically (there's a little wire which goes from the opus to the power button on the motherboard).

The computer then powers an Extigy, which runs optical out to an Alpine PXA-h510, which then goes analog rca to the amps, and then to the speakers.

pysclobe, what do you use for a screen? How do you use a cd player and radio? Do you use a fm modulator or a HU?

    Or like me!
For the Audi guys - step by step (bandwidth warning!!!)

If you have a cd changer you would likely lose its functionality because of the way the Concert HU works. There is some sort of adapter that iPod users have worked with to make the HU think the iPod was the cd changer so that it would work. The Audi head units are pretty funky when it comes to hooking aftermarket things up to them.

I replaced all my speakers, lost the Bose amp and HU, and added my own amps and a sub.

Carputer 2.0: removed. Back to stock.
