Well, I am going to try to help you out with some detailed answers to each of your questions. I am thinking about buying a front end damaged 03+ Tib to mod as well.

First thing is first. If you have not done so check out http://www.newtiburon.com
It is an absolutely awesome resource for the 03+ Tib.

First off, perhaps you should check out the Xenarc line of touch screens. They seem to be a bit better quality than the Lili.

The 12 v ac line (Cigarette adapter) can be cut and wired into the Tib's aftermarket wiring harness.

I already have a 120GB Full size HDD lying around.
Guess I'll need a 150 Watt SFX DC-DC Vehicle Power Supply for ATX to power the rig
Alot of guys on here are going with the sub 150 W computer setup and using miniITX bards. I, however, decided to go with the power of a full desktop P4 250 W+. setup

I personally feel the pros outway the cons. First the setup using a standard power inverter and shutdown controller www.dashwerks.com is cheaper. Next, you can use a full ATX or Mini ATX board and desktop P4 of which you get much more bang for the buck. You can use that full size 5 1/4 drive you have already and finally, you take the system intact out of the car and use it as home computer. If setup properly.

I will be removing the head unit (Double Din Radio) to install this, so I'll need an AMP to Power the speakers from the sound card.
Yes you will need an amp for this setup (if you remove your factory head unit entirely). BTW an amp makes a tremendous improvement in sound quality over a factory setup.
*** Do you have a recommendation for a AMP that is reasoably priced that will work? ***
I suggest going with a five chanel amp. a chan for each L/R Front rear speaker and 1 for a sub woofer. I personally have a Kicker 5 chan as well as all kicker speakers but there are others of course.

***Will I need a crossover or something to make sure that REAR speakers get surround sounds, and Front Speakers get center channel type of sounds?? ***
Alot of guys on here are using the USB SB Extiigy. You basically can use any PCI surround sound card if you go full size. I went with the AudioTrak Prodigy 7.1 www.audiotrak.net. You attach three stereo 1/8 mini to rca cables to the sound card and amp. The surround sound cards typically have surround emulation for listening to all 5 speakers in the car.

A five chanel amp will have three sets of stereo rca inputs usually. L/R for the front, L/R for the back, and L/R for the sub which it usually converts to Mono. Most five channel amps will have built in crossovers for tuning as well as seperate gain control.

My current Speaker set up is an infinity system with a Built in trunk Sub, 2 Reg. speakers and 2 tweeters.
Nice I didnt see that orignally. That will sound GREAT with a nice amp.

*** Any recommendations for a MoBo with a DECENT graphics chip solution??***
Another nice thing about going full size is the ability to choose any AGP graphics card. I personally am using a dual head NVIDIA card which allows me alot of room for multiple screens and display setups (ie 1 monitor for nav the other for MediaCar etc.)

...thinking of a Slot loading Laptop drive, the Panasonic CW-8122-B, 802.11b access, and a GPS System.
Make sure you look at the general forum Found on Ebay - SLOT LOADING Panasonic UJ-815-B (DVD-RW/CD-RW) $139.50 as right now on ebay there is a great deal on thin line slot load DVD-R drives. Same price as paid for my non recordable. Make sure you get the adapter from the laptop setup to standard IDE and you will probably want a IDE to USB2 or firewire converter as well.

Best of luck, I hope you check back in. If you have any more questions feel free to PM or post.

I second that, it is an awesome resource for aftermarket parts for the tib.

Do yourself a favor and get rid of the factory amps and speakers. You can get a decent amp for under $300 and new speakers you can spend whatever you want on. 4 speakers and a sub can be run off of one 2 channel amp if the amp will support it. Do a search on eBay for Orion amplifiers, look for one of the old HCCA amps since they're rated very low (HCCA 250G4
    POWER OUTPUT 2 x 50 @ 4 Ohm, 2 x 100 @ 2 Ohm, 2 x 200 @ 1 Ohm, 2 x 400 @ .5 Ohm, 1 x 200 @ 4 Ohm, 1 x 400 @ 2 Ohm, 1 x 800 @ 1 Ohm) and are .5 Ohm stable in stereo. If you don't like that idea. you might try to find an adapter to tie into the factory amplifiers. Metra makes them for most vehicles so they probably make one for yours.

Those cars are only good for 170 horses. the V6 in there isn't huge. It's efficient, but not huge.

BTW, not to get off topic but those tib's are supposedly starved for air and get a great HP boost just from addding a CAI (cold air intake). From everything I have read on newtiburon.com they seem to be a great tuner car.

From what he said his car has the infinity premium package with subwoofer. Unless he is a car stereo maniac like some (don't think from his post) just adding a factory aftermarket amp I feel would suit him fine. But if he wants to go even cheaper perhaps he could get a factory amp adapter if one exists.

Decided to look up the adapter for you perhaps this would work http://autosoundgear.com/tek9.asp?pg...cific=jnqphnp4

It says it's for mitsubishi made cars but for infinity built-in sound systems. You may want to contact them to see if it will work with the Tiburon. Again the newtiburon forums maybe another place to ask if you are interested in going that route.
