I posed a question some what on the same lines its about servos and motors
there are some good links in there...
try a search servos motors oh my
I am planning on using my existing HU but would like to have my monitor mounted in the same place and dont want to relocate my HU. I have this idea of making a mounting shell that my monitor would mount in. this shell would then attach to the dash right in front of my HU, making it inaccessible. In order to make it accessible i was thinking of making some kind of sliding track that would allow the monitor to slide down out of the way of the HU and slide it back up when i dont need access to the HU. After thinking about this idea for some time, i thought it would be really great if i could make it motorized as well. What do you all think of this idea? also does anyone know where i can find some small geared motors and gear tracks that i can use to set this up? also would anyone know how to regulate the speed of the motors?
Please help. i think this would look really sweet if done right.
Alot of people have tried this.
Maybe a CD-ROm motor or tray mechanism.
I would just purchase a screen like the DWW-7VGA.I'll be getting mine soon.
