    Good Setup? (sorta long)

    So for my carputer I have the following
    OPUS 150 watt power supply
    Via M10000 or M-II 10000
    256-512 megs of ram
    30 gig harddrive
    Liliput 7" screen
    DVD-Rom Drive

    Am I missing anything?

    Also how long of USB/VGA connection can i have from the monitor to the computer?

    How long of IDE connection can I have to my dvd-rom drive

    And lastly, I have a pioneer premier 740mp head unit (best self amplified one they make) And a very highend audio system, should i keep my head unit or use a Sound Blaster live card or use the 6 channel audio on the VIA board and connect via miniplig to RCA's

    Depends if you use a USB adaptor or a long IDE cable, I don't know a lot about them, but search it's around here somewhere.

    Since you've got the HU, why not? I would recommend this setup

    Computer---USB cable---->USB Soundcard---1/8th inch to RCA--->Headunit AUX IN

    Well I just wanted to have Dolby Digital surround, that would be cool for watching movies and such.

    What about using a Sound Blaster Audigy2 NX or Audigy2 Zs?

    Would i have to also use a for example alpine 5.1 decoder with the audigy?
