    Found my case.

I have spent countless hours searching for a micro atx case that will fit in
the center console forward of the cupholder thingy on my 2001 tahoe. The space is 11.5" wide by roughly 10" deep and 6" tall. The mobo I have on the way is a syntax s635mp http://www.ateck.com/viewItem.asp?idProduct=453056833 ($5 from tigerdirect with mail in rebate). It would need a 3.5 hdd slot as I have 6 or 7 of them lying around here. Do you think I'd be better off getting one of the Via boards and a mini atx case? I have seen plenty of them that would fit but don't really want to spend the extra money. I have already ordered a lilliput 7" with touchscreen ($270).

    C'mon guys

Somebody has to know of a case that will work for me. It is the only piece I need to get this project going.

I was going to try one of those shuttle cases but they are too tall. I will probably end up making one as BoraXP suggested. What type and thickness of metal would be easiest? I do have access to a welder, break, and all of the other tools to work metal.

Hey, if you can get a hold of one, PowerColor puts out some ATI video cards with a plastic briefcase-type thing that holds the card and software. We had a couple come through our store, and as it turns out, if you weasel it just so, you can build a complete system in there! Especially if you use a DC-DC power supply!

I'm not certain of the dimensions anymore, but it would certainly be small, and portable too!

BoraXP and I think alike. Was just looking at that exact box when I checked back here. Think I have my solution though. Was looking at that box and it hit me. The tins that my Lucky Brand cologne comes in are just about that size. Ran upstairs and grabbed one and it measures 10 5/8" x 8" x 3". I have my case and it looks cool too. Thanks for your posts.
