Under the seat, center console are popular choices. You probably have space between the console and the dash (the transmission hump) consider building an enclosure for the PC and the display.
I’ve been browsing this site for a little while and I can’t seem to find a few basic questions I hope somebody can help me out with. First off, I have a 1998 Navigator with a factory head unit, cassette and 6-disk CD changer. I am going to install a carputer with a 7” touch screen LCD.
Where would be a good place to mount the LCD screen? Anybody with a Navigator or Expedition have any suggestions or ideas? I would like to keep my factory unit in there but if that is the only place I can put it in then I can take it out.
My other question is where do I put the CPU? My car is pretty long and it seems really far away to put it all the way in the back. Is there anyway to put in under the seats or in/near the center console?
I appreciate any and all comments. Thanks!

Thanks, this is the best picture I could find of the dash. I'm thinking about mounting it with a stand so I don't have to cut into the dash.
Ok, I guess the attachment didn't work.....Still new to this forum

I second this. I've seen a few nice setups like that...and that portion isn't really covered by your picture.Originally Posted by TruckinMP3
