Well, for the sake of those that have no imagination, and as an excuse for me to play with Photoshop, here's a quick chop job:For the base of the PC, I was thinking about taking a Shuttle unit: http://us.shuttle.com/specs_access.asp?pro_id=284
The harsh part comes in fabrication: I'd probably junk the stock PSU and use an Opus 150. I could cut the Shuttle case WAY down (so the only drive bay left is the 3.5" HDD bay), use a slim CPU cooler and mount a couple 80mm fans on the front for cooling. That would leave the Opus OUTSIDE the case.

Although that's probably lower than I was thinking.
The nifty front plate with the power buttons, lights, etx would be gone, with one or two 80mm fans tacked on the front for added ventilation.
Unfortunately, this project may be on hold. My unemployed status that gives me lots of time to plot & scheme & measure & plan and, ultimately, work on this project may be about the change, resulting in relocation.
That's not a bad thing, mind you. It just slows progress.
Of course, it also makes me better able to afford the project, too.
