Cool Here is my project! What do you think?

    Hallo!!
Im planning on building my own multimedia/mp3 player in my car
    and found this this site
Have looked around and this is my result of a plan.

    Motherboard: http://www.viavpsd.com/product/epia_...therboardId=81
    Power supply: http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...products_id=29
    Screen: http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...products_id=33
    Software: MEDIA CAR

And a big Hd of course (3,5)

About the power supply, there where no cables so then you only have to
plug in the "PW-70a" directly into the motherboard i suppose.
Think i could manage the electric part a little.

    But.. here is the thing!
i like the nice "Lilliput 7" TFT LCD touch screen" very much.
I Don`t want a crappy installation of the screen/ easy stolen Promo
I want something like this one -> My carputer version 2
with my car panels it`s preyyty hard to install!
Looks like the only solution is to buy a intregated one, "IN-DASH"
Im gonna fix a picture of my panel so you can see for yourself.

    Any recommendations or tip

The PW-70a does have wires to connect (look closer). You'll see the wires on the pw-70a and you'll see on the motherboard there is a spot to plug them in (looks like it does on other ATX mobos).

What kind of car do you have? Fiberglassing should do good for you. Read this: http://web.njit.edu/~cas1383/proj/main/

    I have a BMW 535.
Ok, Fiberglass or mdf it is then
I think the placement of the tft is best between the shift gear and the black panel and its much more discreet
hard to get it around the stereo or above it, would be the best view hight..

Thx for the link gonna read the guide now and figure out how im gonna build my panel Hmm

I think you left a comment on my gallery with a link to this thread?

the comment was in sweedish ... which i don't speak, sorry ... luckily my sister-in-law is visiting from finland so she translated a bit for me.

your best bet for your screen will probably be fiberglass / bondo (or whatever body filler is popular in sweeden) ... just buy some, and practice on a few pices first. the more patient you are, the better it will come out.

you saw the progress pictures on my site ... remember this project was my first time ever using bondo. it is certainly possible to to a great job with no experiance ... just read all you can about fiberglass and body filler ... practice ... and be patient.

also, you may want to try to get a spare piece of trim from a junk yard or something so you don't have to cut up your original dash piece.

hope that helps some ... keep us posted...
