    Carputer on a $800 Budget

    i wanted some advice on what all i would need and could get for $800 to build a pretty fast carputer with atleast a 40 gig HD. want it to run a touch but havent decided yet. definatley will need to be fast enough to movies and probably some games.if 800 isnt possible build the next best thing

    Yes, but you don't want one, trust me. Having been through numerous home-made psu's and a PW-60 and ITPS, now bought an Opus 90W.. It gets expensive!

    Just get a good one to start with

    would runnin a 512 mb ram help me out much with games or would it be to much for the CPU

    f250crewcab- You aren't gonna get much gameing wise out of a via system, thats just not what they are made for.

    also, if yoru f250 is like my f150, you have space under cup holders, etc. I'm gonna try to fab me up a center console to put my comp in. If you do that, get a shuttle barebones.

    7" LCD With VGA output and touch screen option
    Touch screen is optional though... might cost the same if you bought it from here.
