    Schematics for projects

Anyone know any sites with schematics with power supplies or epia. Or any other usefull schematics that can use in projects. One inportant question, if you got a pc in your car, is the any way or anything at all, that you can make it go on standby when turning off the engine.
    Thanks

I'm new here myself but there are controller that do that. They watch the voltage in the power line and when it drops below a set point it will instruct the computer to shutdown, hibernate, etc. Just look are the board bit.

Search ITPS or for an "all in one" power solution, look into an Opus power supply.

Ive looked around and found this nice lcd display with build in control bottons, its got the schematics and the program for it. The only problem its a hex file not sure how to run it, I think its for linux, could someone look at the source code for it. This would make a amazing winamp, forward, backwards, pause, etc buttoms.

The HEX file is for PIC16F84.

I havent checked properly but it look like the source code is in C and compiled into HEX for the PIC16F84.

You will need a PIC programmer to burn the HEX into that chip. The 16F84 is a flashable device so you can program it many times before it dies.

Do a google on PIC programmer. The PIC website is on www.microchip.com

I found this gps on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...700046763&rd=1
I have a few question, how does gps work, does it work in Canada, is there any monthly fees. It says no mapping software. What kind of software can I use, can I use the mediadesktop program, it does have a gps button on it.

It work around the world, no fees.

If you wanna know how they exactly work go and do a google...I dont think someone will bother to explain all this to you as they can get complicated.

For your own sake learn the basic...learn how to do a google search...it will save you.
