What can I do for my truck?

I've got a '91 S-10(well Sonoma) Regular cab that I want to put a carputer in. However, I don't just want to use a touchscreen, because I want to be able to have a wireless keyboard & mouse to be able to play games on it. The problem I have is space. The only places I see that I can put the case is either under the seat, or in the slot under my dash. I've put together computers & have quite a bit of experience with them, but I don't have a clue about this. I know, I know . The problem is, you don't see that many people with compact trucks that have carputers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I'll get up some pics when I figure out how to upload them.

Probably be asiest if you custum built your "case". That way you could spread the parts out over a bigger area. Some under the seat, some behind the glove box, and some in the dash for easy access. I use a touch screen (Lilliput), Wireless RF mouse and keyboard, and an ATI RF Remote Wonder. Touchscreen is easier for some things, mouse/keyboard is easier for somethings, and the ATI Remote is easier for somethings. It's nice having different options. Check out my site for some install pictures. Ver1 and Ver2 are my old car. Custum built the dash. Sort of getto style. Ver3 is the new car, and stuff was done right (my trunk does not leak, where the old car did. So this time I was able to put the PC in the trunk). Ver3 has the best detail of pics. All three versions use different approaches at a custom case. Click on any of the pictures and you will get a bigger version.

Have you thought about a Mini-ITX (or forthcoming nano-itx board) - you can fit one of those in a single DIN slot! The forthcoming nano itx is just 12cmx12cm - it should fit anywhere, and the 90w Opus doesn't take up too much space with it easier. I fitted mine in an MR2, which has the same kind of space constraints without much problems

There is Chucky's ZR2 extended cab with a big open frame case behind the drivers seat. There is a guy that made a center console that runs front to back of of the cab with the display in the front below the dash.
There is another with a 1st gen like yours that took out the factory radio and vents above and put a screen there.
Mine is in a very small case in an overhead console kind of like in the blazers.
