Advice on Setup...

I am wanting to build a custom setup for a carputer to do some things. I've already got a few of the computer parts, so I'd just need some advice on integrating them into what I need. Here's what I want to do, so maybe you guys could give me some advice on what I need:

7" LCD TFT Touchscreen (either dash mounted or in-dash motor-out).. Currently using 5.6" LCD dash mount.
Xbox (already using with 5.6" LCD screen)
FM Modulator (currently using with XBox)
GPS (integrated to work with the LCD)
rearview camera (integrated to work with the LCD)
computer (Motherboard, 500 MHZ Celeron, 512 MB DIMM RAM, AGP video, DVD-RW/CD-RW/DVD/CD, etc.) - needs power supply & case
MP3 player integrated as an app into the computer
Movie player (DIVX, etc.)
Image viewer (Jpegs, Gifs, etc.)

Let me know exactly what I should use/do for this setup.. Also, I have a custom subwoofer setup in the trunk, so space is limited to mount the computer/case...

if you got a custom setup in the trunk, then spend the extra money and get a custom computer case setup in hte truck have it all fit nice nice.

I this prolly isn't in agreement with everyone else, but with subs in the car and prollly rattling the car, I recommend you get any type of computer case not bolted down. Instead, have some sort of dampaning rubber and then get it bolted down to reduce the constant vibrations you'll be getting.

Also, hard drive go only laptop style 2.5".

Think you need to to look at some of the threads on HDD damage - most of us find 3.5" fine, even over potholes, bricks, etc, without any damping (except on the suspension!). Looks like the speed is an issue 5400rpms take more stick, and the mounting position (on it's side, facing forwards)

If you are referrring that to me, then ya I know about that and personally have not had any issue myself either running a 7200RPM Maxtor Drive. Though only reason why I recommend the dampaning idea is the fact that he has subs. Though I don't know any details on it, I am assuming that they vibrate his car which a dampener in that would definitely protect the drive a little more.
