    mp3 ripping

    im a newbie and ive finished the pc running windows 2000. i wanted to know what software you guys are using to rip your cds to mp3 format. I also wanted to know if anyone was running windows server 2003 and if they had any issues with the carputer and this software. thanks

    i use audio grabber to rip CD's

    I'm using a program called EAC. It's a great program. Also i think this was covered in a thread not to long ago that was about VBR and encoding settings. You may find some good info there.

    CDex is the best MP3 ripper out there with very nice CDDB support.
    It's also freeware, so you will go to hell for not getting it

    why on earth would you want win 2003 server on a carpc?

    I think that just overkill. Win2k yes

    Ever1 tends to say co and so is the best to convert cd to mp3 etc....Very Weird?
