Are you powering the opus in-house with some kind of AC-DC adaptor?
Does it have enough amperage to run the Opus??
Have you already tried to boot up using a standard atx power supply, just to check if you still have a working opus?
Hello people,
As you can guess i`m new to this site as well as in car pc`sso sorry if i`ve posted this in the wrong place.
I`ve just got a in car pc which i did have running off a 12v system from indoors in which i was checking that it was running alright........which it was...then i placed a slimline dvd in the correct slot and installed it and it was up and running ...Then i started the pc a little later on and it was ok ...went to reboot and the pc shut down but now won`t fire up
the power supply is a opus ATX DC-DC 90w and all the pc is doing is giving me 3 flashes on the power supply board and turning the fans whilse doing so.
I read the guide and it says that this indacates not getting enought power but i`ve dissabled every thing that would take the power ie/ dvd/sound card.
Please can someone help us.......and this is before it`s in the car![]()

Yes i`m powering with a adaptor which when i got the pc was running fine,so it`s got enough power for the board and every thing.
The pc shows the lights on the front of it ...harddrive and power and the opus board green light comes on and flashes 3 times whiles turning the fans and keeps doing so??? so the the opus board must have power to do all this.
thanks james
I just wondered if any of you guys have had the same problem in the past to get me over this???
I think that it`s a simple thing but as i`m new to this it`s a real pain as it`s not even in the car yet!!
james.
did you test it with standard atx power supply?

hi i have just checked the opus manual and the green led flashes are for diagnostics, and it said that 3 Flashes Power supply output voltages are out of normal voltage range. Reasons: 1. Power supply output is over loaded or shorted. 2. Faulty DC-DC power supply. hope this helps

i`m not the best with computers at the moment still learning with them..........Give me a engine anytime ! !
thanks james
It cant be that. Since he tried with a regular ATX PSU and the computer didnīt work, it's not power related. My guess is that he has some problem with the board.Originally Posted by ste1806
