i don't know 8100, i have 8200 and using MultimediaCable from Dell (25 US$) (it's a 8 pin minidin adaptor) u can connect SPDIF/S-Video/Composite meanwhile.
I have a Dell Inspiron 8100 with S-Video out. Just tested it on my house TV that has S-Video input. It shows the desktop background, and if I play a video in Windows Media Player, but I can't get Media Engine or any other apps to show on it. What am I missing here?
Also, if I use the S-Video output, can I still use a dongle to split the S-video and SPDIF outputs and use both? Or do I need to run the vga output to a Lilliput and just pull the spdif output out of the s-video plug?
TIA
