    xbox installation. need help!

i am wanting to install an xbox into my car (in the boot/trunk to be more precise). The problem that i have run into is that i want to relocate my ir receiver to the front of the car so that i can use the dvd playback kit to navigate through xbox media centre, but i cant find any extension cables or anyhthing. Has anyone tried doing something similar? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I have a modded box too. I've been playing around with the idea of doing the mod to the logitech xbox controller that allows you to turn the xbox on and off remotely and wirelessly. Have you thought about that?

All it is is basically extending the chord by splicing it with a usb cable. That's all the controller/peripheral cables are, just plain old usb cables.
