I did not have any problems with my megasquirt and my car-puter, magasquirt works beautiful and only needs a nice steady comunication via serial port, Is very easy to adjust settings on the go to my turbocharged vw
Hey everyone-
I'm still in the learning/planning stages of my project. What I would like to do is have a permanent system in the car to connect with and tune the megasquirt efi controller in my project. It's designed to connect to PC's so that part is easy. I am just wondering if anyone has already attempted this with a carputer that also had a media focus (MP3's/audio output, etc). If so, what if any challenges did you encounter?

Just curious, what is megasquirt?

Read the FAQ!
megasquirt or ms as we call it is a diy (assemble yourself) standalone engine management system that controls your fuel injection and or ignition, is fully programmable, great for any engine, specially usefull on high performance supercharged or turbocharged engines, etc, etc
is like sd or other big buck standalone but a lot cheaper because you assemble it yourself, so is a lot of work but worth it every hour you put into it
