im thinking about adding a Deep cycle battery to my system,...would someone please explain the componets and how a dual battery system would install and how it would work..thanks

for "battery isolator" or "optima yellow top"

Not meant as a flame, just as a place to start.

In essence all you need is an isolator, and a bunch of wire, in addition to the new battery. You use the existing battery as a starter battery, and after the car is running, you run everything else off of the Optima.
